No Second Chance

Being older than any of the presidential candidates, I am happy to see one of the kiddies surviving a heart attack. Not only is Bernie surviving, he leads in donations and is surging in the Iowa polls. The heart attack seems to have enhanced his chances in the race for the White House.

While I wish him the best with regard to his health, I consider it a major mistake to give him the nomination.

Heart attacks commonly come around for an encore performance. My dad had two, as did several others of my acquaintance. If Bernie was the nominee and had another heart attack during the campaign, the Democratic party would be gifting Trump a second term, with a large ribbon. I started to say ‘with a cherry on top’ but that would be inappropriate, as that would be the second time the country had screwed itself. We couldn’t blame Trump for that.

Since leaving Bernie to represent Vermont would take away a major progressive candidate, we could restore balance by pushing Ole Moderate Joe out of the race.

Are you listening, Iowa?

If you found this educational, edifying, interesting or otherwise worth your time, this geezer would appreciate a little supplement to those Social Security checks, They forgot to factor in the cost of publishing a blog.

Many thanks,

Crawford Harris.
