The Extreme Court

The Supreme Liars of the Extreme Court

Quite simply, everyone of the members of the court that voted to overturn Roe v Wade lied. They lied to get their jobs. Every senator except Susan Collins knew they were lying. They put the job above the majority of “We the People.” Political bias was involved. Ignorance played a major role. We are at the mercy of ignorant, merciless, lying political hacks. And why was the dumbest member in history selected to write the opinion?

First, there is a factor that most everyone seems to have missed about Roe. It was supposedly based on the right of privacy. However, they only allowed for the protection of the right of privacy for the first trimester. Apparently, our rights vary with the calendar.

Let’s deal with the right of privacy first. Over the years several courts have recognized that, while that right is not explicitly written in the Constitution, several other rights would not be possible without that particular right. Those rights include ones protected by the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments.

These liars said that just because they ignored the right of privacy in this case doesn’t mean they will ignore it in other cases. These other cases include same sex marriage. This promise while Clarence was saying that sex between same gender partners should be a crime. Yeah, Clarence, throw them in a same sex prison without access to the other gender. Brilliant!!!

The Loving case permitted miscegenation. That is based on the right of privacy and is in jeopardy. Ironically, were that overturned, Clarence’s marriage to the traitor Ginni Thomas would be outlawed. Also, the newest member of the court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, is a black lady with a white husband.

Finally being in the majority on this issue, Clarence was emboldened to declare that birth control pills and devices should be outlawed. I hope that doesn’t include my vasectomy.

This ruling doesn’t end abortions. It makes them more dangerous, more expensive and less available to those most financially vulnerable.

The Christians who love fetuses and hate everyone else have been emboldened to announce their next goal is to ban abortions in all states, including those with a majority of sane voters.

Watch what is going to happen. Right Wing-Nuts are going to initiate suits across the nation on every wet-dream issue they can conjure. They will work their way through the court system. Some will make it to the Extreme Court. Almost simultaneously they revoked Roe and New York’s law on carrying a loaded gun in public – now essentially every citizen can do so. What will that unfettered gang of sociopaths not find acceptable? Every right is at risk. They are in a mood and in position to overturn any law that the Congress and president approves.

Unelected and with lifetime seats, they are answerable to no one. Not you. Not me. Does that meet your definition of  democracy? Now that they have tasted the power they can wield — be afraid.

The members of the present court include Clarence Thomas, courtesy of daddy Bush who lost to someone that avoided Vietnam and didn’t inhale. Another 2 of these clowns were foisted on us by baby Bush. who lost to the people but was gifted the presidency by the court. By the way, the court had no constitutional authority to stick their noses into the selection of the president. So, were the Constitution followed, I doubt Al Gore would have nominated either of those two. Thanks to Moscow Mitch, the other three incompetents were nominated by the dumbest president in history.

Four of the five in the majority were the choice of presidents that the majority of the people voted against. This is America’s loudly proclaimed democracy. For the booboisie, yes, this is a republic – one that claims to be a democracy. Republic just means nonhereditary. The UK is a monarchy and a democracy. China is a republic and a dictatorship.

Okay, why would an octogenarian boy from the Deep South be upset with this constitutional abortion?

Hold on just a minute.

Before I explain the reasons for my interest in this subject, let me beg you to stay to the end. Why? Because there you will find a video that will either make or break your day. It’s from Trae Crowder, AKA the Liberal Redneck. He is proof that Tennessee has produced more than one sane person.

My first wife was Korean. We married in a traditional Korean ceremony. In my attempt to get married again by an army chaplain, I was denied. I tried the U.S. Consulate. They refused absent permission from the army. My wife was a month pregnant when I was sent back to the states. I went to the Pentagon. They refused at three different levels. I was sent to Ft, Riley Kansas.

I spent 17 months in that hell hole. My wife lost the child at birth, developed a fever, which essentially cooked the child. She was declared legally dead. I knew when the due date was but I heard nothing for more than a month. Phone calls back then were $12 per minute and she, as most others at that time, had no phone. My pay was less than $100 monthly and I sent her a portion of my pay. I would have to write a letter specifying a date and time a couple of weeks ahead of time for her to be at our lawyer’s office. He had a phone.

Back then the average income for a college graduate was $20 a month. Healthcare was not of a quality that inspired confidence. I believe that my child would have survived and my wife’s health would not have suffered had she been provided transportation to the U.S. and received modern medical care.

I tried to get a proxy marriage. The commander agreed. Later I was told by a chaplain that it was delaying tactic. They wanted to delay until my service was complete. That way they would not need to cover transportation or the usual family benefits. And that would satisfy their racism.

I had to serve out my enlistment, get a job, put together the round-trip airfare for me and a one-way for her. We were married again with me a civilian. This time in both the U.S Consulate and the Seoul City Hall. After 23 months apart, we were together for one month. There were problems getting a passport and visa for someone who was legally dead. We were apart again for nearly 11 and a half months.

The earlier pregnancy had an adverse effect on her health. We were told that she couldn’t have children. We had adopted  a 12-day old Korean girl. She’s now 59 years old. However, traditionally, a woman was not considered a wife until she produced a male child. She was raised traditionally. We thought we could not have a child. As she had an adverse reaction tot he pill, we took no precautions. She had two miscarriages.

We had a son. Using a traditional method common in East Asia, we induced a couple of miscarriages. I intended to save my wife. She had an investment in life, in me and the children. We had an an emotional investment in her. A fetus had no such investments nor us in it. I was not going to sacrifice my wife and my children’s mother for the unknown because of what some strangers wanted for us. We proved too fertile a couple, so I had a vasectomy.

Her health never fully recovered and she passed away at the age of 37. We were married for 14 years but apart for three of them, thanks to the army and the racists.

It may have changed but back then, though we lived in Los Angeles, I had to file my tax return in Reno Nevada. Why? Because that was where they processed returns for couples when one of us was a nonresident alien for part of the year. What difference did that make? Not much but miscegenation was illegal in Nevada.

After a couple of more years in LA we moved to Chattanooga where I had grown up. However, the job I found was with Delta Air Lines, in Atlanta. Guess what. Our marriage was illegal in Georgia. Welcome to your new home, Darling.

Given the racism in the army and back home and the effects it had was bad enough. That was the time the GOP was courting the Catholic vote. Though Jerry Falwell and other Protestants initially put down the question of abortion as just a Catholic issue, they later saw the political advantages and joined in.

Elections are coming up. The GOP and the plutocrats that own them have been expecting to return to power in the House and Senate. They have no expertise in legislative work. They just want to exercise power, despite promoting ideas that the majority doesn’t support. How do they get away with it? Because they appeal to the low information voters (think Faux News) and cultivate them using the most powerful of political tools — fear. Now their rulings show the path they are treading. That should motivate us to get to the polls and unceremoniously dump every member of Congress that took bribes from the NRA, al-PhRMA, military contractors, Wall Street or any other entity acting against the interests of ‘We the People.’

This situation does not call for thoughts and prayers. They haven’t protected our children or our rights. The ONLY way to protect them is to oust the politicians that represent those that bought them and pay them to pervert OUR government.

Every woman and every man that cares about a woman should vote these con men out of office. They call themselves conservatives. They sell “the good old days of yore.” They are not conservatives. Don’t listen to them. Instead, read what the Heritage Foundation puts out. It’s the primary think tank for the GOP.

You may think I’m exaggerating. I’m not. This book will scare you. The author is the William H. Chafe Professor of History and Public Policy at Duke University, winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, cited by Nation magazine as “The Most Valuable Book” and a finalist for the National Book Award.

A partial listing of their agenda includes abolishing Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, the minimum wage, public schools and child labor laws. They want to sell the Interstate System at fire sale prices to corporations that will turn them into toll roads. They want the prisons to all be run for profit. They will increase their profits by paying judges to send them more inmates. That happened already with a juvenile court judge in Pennsylvania.

They admit that the population will be unhappy with such changes and plan for their only increases in government budgets to be police and prisons.

Several years ago in Chile the generals overthrew that government and gave these conservative think tank-types the reigns. It was an unmitigated disaster.

If you found this educational, edifying, interesting or otherwise worth your time, this geezer would appreciate a little supplement to those Social Security checks, They forgot to factor in the cost of publishing a blog. I would like to continue being able to afford my daily cup of coffee and pound of caviar.
