Kick ’em Out

No, no, no. These are not the ones we need to kick out. Why should we kick them out? For displeasing the Bigot-in-Chief? I realize that, unlike most Americans, he cannot quite grasp the concept of the First Amendment’s protection of our right of free speech.  He hasn’t quite grasped the position of a president. He fails to comprehend the difference between the limitations placed upon politicians in this country and the lack of restrictions placed on dictators in those countries that he admires. Instead of returning to “where they came from, I think we need their help dealing with some of the problems we have here, some that he caused, some that he has exacerbated.

Here are the foreigners that entered this country under questionable circumstances. Am I being sexist to show dear Melania both before and after the surgeons eliminated her most of facial expressions? She wasn’t always the super model she used to claim to be. Given Donny’s small hands. she didn’t need such an extreme breast enlargement. Always living in the past, her hubby occasionally, affectionately? refers to her as his super model. But, that’s not to the real point.

Once upon a time her web site claimed that she had a degree in design and architecture. That claim was discarded after someone discovered her academic records and thought it unlikely she was able to accomplish that in less than one year of college.

She obtained a work visa in 1996. However, she did modeling jobs in 1995 and 10 times in 1996 before her green card granted her permission to work in this country. One of my sons was a model. He never attained the status of super model but he worked out of Barcelona for 4 years and more than that in LA and New York. He did ads and commercials in Europe for Mercedes, Izod and Bacardi, among others. He says super models don’t do catalogs.

In 2001 her immigration lawyer, Michael J. Wildes, stated that her status was based on her marriage. Was she married before she walked down the aisle with Donny? They did their walk in January of 2005.

But, a month later the marriage claim was abandoned for another. There was the claim that she was eligible for special consideration because, her lawyer, the same one, explained in the letter that Melania Trump self-sponsored herself for a green card in 2000 (the year before) “as a model of extraordinary ability” and obtained the green card in 2001.

If she lied while applying for visas she became ineligible for admittance. After all, lying to the government is a felony. Did she lie about being married? About being a model of extraordinary ability? About having a degree in design and architecture? Lies or not, she definitely did work while on a visitor visa.

Then there is the question of her parent’s eligibility. While Donny has ranted against “chain migration,” that was what qualified her parents for their visas. If her admittance was fraudulent, then theirs is invalid.

Two of Donny’s three wives are immigrants, His mother was an immigrant. He grandfather was an immigrant. Hey, Melania. Take the entire Trump family with you.

Kick’em out.

Back to the beginning

These Americans exercised their right of free speech. We are supposed to employ that right. If we don’t exercise that right, of what value is it? These women have lived with discrimination, due to their gender; due to the amount of melanin in their skin; because of their religion. We should not respect them were they not to speak out. Lest we forget, the first time Donny’s name appeared in the New York Times was because in 1973 the Justice Department cited his company for discrimination against African-Americans.

Donny said that they should leave because they don’t like some things about America. He doesn’t like the Constitution. He doesn’t like the majority of Americans. He doesn’t like the role immigrants have played in making this country. He doesn’t like the FBI. He doesn’t like NATO. He doesn’t like our allies. Other than himself, just what does he like?

One final note: while 3 of the 4 congresswoman were born in the U.S., the other, Congresswoman Omar, has been a citizen longer than Melania.
